Rancho Cienega Del Gabilan

Gabilan Ranch is a working cattle ranch nestled in the Gabilan Mountain Range with Fremont Peak as our northern boundary in Monterey and San Benito counties. The property maintains a deep, rich history that pre-dates California statehood and evokes our state's early pioneering spirit. The 1834 land grant named the land for its abundant springs and raptors: Spring of the Hawk Ranch.

Today, the ranch is family owned and operated by the Reeves, Baldocchi and Boyle families that are the third and fourth generation of Arline and Rollin Reeves. Rollin was a physician in Salinas, who purchased the land in 1929. As stewards of the land with a commitment to preserving and sharing California's Western Heritage, our families invite you to explore our photo gallery and experience a working cattle ranch while enjoying the breathtaking beauty of the Central Coast.
